Intervention in Shepherds Bush:
Regarding the definition of the key points I wanted to include some ideas that maybe can complement the ones already discussed:
-for example a stronger strategy to upgrade the already varied options of restaurants and specialized shops on the area as a support for the shepherds bush market, maybe creating stronger links between them (a rough example can be food festivals) as well the use of the underneath spaces of the railway line. This can be part of the shopfront/retail strategy.
-In terms of the cultural strategy maybe the linkage of the cinema and the nighttime strategy can be linked with the intention of revitalize the Green encouraging the creation of some activities of the cinema within the park.
-Other thing that I have in mind (just brainstorming) can be use some of the already existing hotel infrastructure (I counted almost 20) to reinforce the retail strategies.
I downloades some photos in the flickr group of some problematic areas that we dicussed in the last session.

Areas for Intervention and Strategic Policies
I also agree with Thaddeus that we need to crack on and it would seem sensible that once we have agreed on the areas for intervention and strategic policies, we each choose/are allocated one or two of these to work on individually before bringing it all together.
So, my twopenneth -
Areas for Intervention
- Gyratory/transport movement
- Shepherd Bush Green
- Linkages with White City
- Shepherds Bush market
- Linkages to Holland Park
- Goldhawk Road/Shepherds Bush Road/Shepherd's Bush Green Gateway
- Uxbridge road/Wood Lane/Shepherds Bush Green Gateway
- Petrol Station and Tower Block on Uxbridge road side of Green
- Culture policy - ie how to make more of empire and theatre and/or nightime economy strategy
- Shopfront/retail policy - ie do we try and, for example, promote organic/ethical shops/ how do we create a more uniform character to the shop fronts/how do we make the best of the existing (West 12) shopping centre
